LORD WHITNEY WORKSHOP
During a 2 day workshop with Lord Whitney we were briefed to create a short fashion film using homemade props and art direction.
The first day was the designing, storyboarding and developing the look through lense. Moving on to the second day we filmed, edited and altered the footage.
Prop making was done through cardboard, foil, plastic, recyled objects and art scraps. It was important to remember the prop often looked very different through the camera lense than in real life, which was a bonus as many items looked a lot more professional that in person!
Our theme was Kettle through film and the result is seen to the left here.
Moving on from this experience I learnt that sustainability and resuing objects to create a very kitsch home made look can actually really work. Especially in fashion it's often thought that everything should be shiny and new - however this reuse and recycle mantra can help you do your bit for the environmental affects of this industry.
